Terms & Conditions

The basis on which Future Websites UK provides its website design, hosting and maintenance services.

These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which Future Websites UK provides its website design, hosting and maintenance services.

1. About Future Websites UK

Future Websites UK provides website design, development, hosting and maintenance services to businesses and organisations in the United Kingdom.

These terms apply when a customer agrees to purchase a website or the ongoing monthly service from Future Websites UK.

2. Website Package

The standard website package is priced at £299. This covers the agreed website scope, which typically includes a professional, mobile-friendly website built around the customer’s business and services.

The exact pages, functionality, features, design and content will be agreed with the customer before or while the website is being created. Any work that falls outside the agreed scope may require an additional fee (see Section 4).

3. Monthly Service — £29.99/month

Where the customer has selected the ongoing monthly service, the fee of £29.99 per month covers:

  • Website hosting
  • Routine website maintenance
  • Reasonable minor text changes
  • Reasonable image or photo replacements or additions
  • Minor content updates
  • Basic technical support

The monthly service is intended to keep the website live, secure and up to date. It does not mean unlimited development work, redesigns or new functionality. What counts as a “reasonable minor” change is at the discretion of Future Websites UK, and any work beyond this will be discussed and agreed before it begins.

4. Work Outside the Standard Service

Substantial work that goes beyond the standard website package or monthly service may incur an additional fee. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Complete website redesigns
  • Large numbers of new pages
  • New complex functionality
  • E-commerce functionality
  • Booking systems
  • Advanced integrations
  • Custom applications
  • Significant structural changes
  • Other work requiring substantial development time

Any additional charge must be agreed with the customer in writing (including by email) before the additional work begins.

5. Customer Content

The customer is responsible for ensuring that they have permission to use any content they provide, including:

  • Images
  • Logos
  • Videos
  • Text
  • Testimonials
  • Other materials

The customer is also responsible for ensuring that all information they provide is accurate, lawful and does not infringe the rights of any third party. Future Websites UK reserves the right to refuse to publish content that it reasonably believes is unlawful, misleading or infringing.

6. Payment

The initial website fee is £299, payable in accordance with the agreed payment method and terms.

The ongoing service is £29.99 per month where the customer has selected the monthly service. Payments must be made using the agreed payment method and on the agreed schedule.

7. Failed or Missed Monthly Payments

If a monthly payment fails:

  • The customer will be notified.
  • The customer will be given a reasonable opportunity to resolve the failed payment.
  • Further reminders may be issued.
  • If payment remains outstanding, Future Websites UK may suspend hosting, maintenance and related services until the outstanding amount is settled.

Suspension does not mean the website is immediately or permanently deleted. Any restoration after suspension may require outstanding payments to be settled first.

8. Cancellation

Either the customer or Future Websites UK may end the ongoing monthly service by giving reasonable notice. The exact notice period, if any, will be set out in the customer’s agreement or payment terms.

The monthly service is not an indefinite guarantee of service. If the customer cancels, hosting and maintenance services will end in accordance with the applicable cancellation terms. Where technically possible and agreed, the customer may be given options for transferring their website or obtaining their files.

Future Websites UK does not charge an arbitrary cancellation fee.

9. If Future Websites UK Discontinues the Service

Future Websites UK may discontinue its website and/or hosting service in the future. If this happens, customers will be given reasonable notice where reasonably possible.

Where technically possible, Future Websites UK will explain the available options for transferring or obtaining the customer’s website. However, no guarantee is made that every underlying third-party service, licence or platform account can or will be transferred.

10. Website Ownership

When the customer pays for a website, they receive the right to use the completed website for their business in line with these terms. The customer-provided materials remain the property and responsibility of the customer where applicable.

Certain elements — such as proprietary code, tools, processes, designs or third-party licences used by Future Websites UK — may remain the property of Future Websites UK or its third-party providers. Where website files or code are transferable, transfer arrangements may be available subject to the relevant third-party platforms, licences and technical limitations.

11. Domains

Domain registration and renewal are separate from the website package unless explicitly included in the customer’s package. The customer is responsible for understanding who controls and pays for their domain, and for ensuring it is renewed before expiry.

If a domain expires, the associated website and email addresses may stop working. Future Websites UK is not responsible for losses caused by a customer failing to renew their domain.

12. Third-Party Services

Websites may rely on third-party services such as domain registrars, hosting providers, payment providers, analytics services, email providers, APIs, plugins or other software.

Future Websites UK cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, performance or pricing of third-party services and is not responsible for outages, changes or discontinuation caused by those providers.

13. Website Availability

Future Websites UK will make reasonable efforts to keep websites online and functioning. However, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed because of circumstances outside reasonable control, including third-party outages, DNS problems, hosting failures, maintenance or internet disruptions.

14. Customer Responsibilities

The customer must:

  • Provide the information and content needed to build and maintain the website
  • Provide accurate contact information
  • Make payments on time
  • Ensure supplied content is lawful and does not infringe third-party rights
  • Notify Future Websites UK of relevant changes to their business or requirements

15. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Future Websites UK’s total liability arising out of or in connection with its services is limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the relevant service in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other matter that cannot legally be limited or excluded. Nothing in these terms affects the customer’s statutory rights.

16. Acceptance

By purchasing the service, making payment or otherwise agreeing to proceed with the website, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions and any agreed project scope communicated in writing.

17. Changes to These Terms

Future Websites UK may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time where reasonably necessary. If a change materially affects existing customers, reasonable notice will be provided where required.

The latest version of the Terms & Conditions will be made available on this page.
